At HSVTC we love our hard-working volunteers. The High Sierra trails love our volunteers too. In 2012, we had 7 backpacking and 3 Base Camp Trips where 281 volunteers contributed 12,477 man hours resulting in maintaining 70 miles of trail, clearing 28 miles of trails, cut down 477 large down trees and 171 small trees and lots more. We specialize in making trail maintenance a fun and safe way to give a little something back to the trails we love to hike. Regardless of trail experience and age, by the end of the day every volunteer knows the basics of trail maintenance. We hope by investing our time in teaching you trail maintenance you’ll come back and join us again.
