After some last minute excitement caused by the Cabin Fire, we had to move our location the day before the trip! Fortunately all volunteers were able to make the switch to Cora Lakes in the Ansel Adams Wilderness in the Sierra National Forest. It was a beautiful location with High Sierra lakes, creeks, mountains, meadows and forest. We accomplished a great variety of work safely and enjoyed ourselves thoroughly. Thank you to all who participated and made this trip a splendid success despite the setbacks. Happy trails!
Eager and squeaky clean crew ready to hit the trail.
Our lovely packers bringing in our kitchen, food, and tools for the week.
View of Upper Cora Lake from just behind camp.
Re-building a water diversion structure with nice large rocks.
Re-establishing the trail corridor with steps and rock crush.
Installing and crushing in a log check step and drain.
Lovely view of our work area and the Minarets from Isberg Pass/Post Peak.
Look at all those smiling faces after a wonderful week!
