HSVTC Donations- April Update from Rick

Donations
We are at $7,800 of our $10,000 goal. Eric Hansen’s offer to match up to $5,000 in donated funds has been taken up by a number of people. Since my last e-mail the Janet and Warren Sargent, Bob Geerts and James Opplinger have donated $950 matched by Dr. Hansen that is $1900. Great job these donations mean a lot to the Trail Crew. The matching funds are still a great option as well. We are now signed up with Bank of America, Patagonia, and Boeing If you work for any of these companies or your company offers matching donations to the organization you choose please consider HSVTC. This is a great way to double and right now it would be quadrupling your donation.

Donation of two semi-trailers coming

Willow Lodge and Warehouse Lyons Transportation located in Clovis CA has agreed to donate two 24 foot semi-trailer vans to the High Sierra Volunteer Trail Crew for our equipment storage. At HSVTC we love our hard-working volunteers. The High Sierra trails love our volunteers too. In 2012, we had 7 backpacking and 3 Base Camp Trips where 281 volunteers contributed 12,477 man hours resulting in maintaining 70 miles of trail, clearing 28 miles of trails, cut down 477 large down trees and 171 small trees and lots more.
